Self-expression is increasingly top of mind for event organizers and attendees — it made PCMA Convene’s top-five list of trends to watch in 2018. This means that planners are looking for venues that are creative and customizable — and more importantly, that offer that “wow” factor. Orlando’s premier event venue, 3NINE at Rosen Plaza, hits all three points and offers organizers a space they truly can make their own.

“I had so many attendees tell me that it was one of the best venues we’ve been to,” Robert W. Lipscomb, CEO of Williams Company Southeast, tells PCMA of his recent event at Rosen Plaza. “Many of my guests stayed inside 3NINE and ate and drank and danced, while others were able to enjoy watching the football game at the adjoining quieter bar area outside.”

3NINE comfortably accommodates small groups and larger parties of up to 500 people — 1,500 when utilizing the palm-tree-lined outdoor pool deck. And the property is ideal for planners looking for a unique, customizable space for their event. The award-winning venue, which includes two bars — one indoor and one poolside — comes equipped with built-in AV, including a stage with lighting, a dance floor, sound system, and customizable flat-screens throughout the space. This allows event producers to engage attendees with digital photo and tweet walls, and digital and LED displays.

“It truly is one of the best venues we’ve been to,” Lipscomb says. “I think the best part of the event was the inside/outside aspect.”

Also onsite at Rosen Plaza is Jack’s Place, an upscale restaurant serving Harris Ranch Prime Steaks and fresh Florida seafood, which planners can utilize when bringing groups to the property. “Jack’s Place and 3NINE in the Rosen Plaza Hotel are hidden gems,” says Ryan Mikolasik, chief marketing officer at EPIC Fuels, who hosted a reception and dinner on back-to-back nights at Rosen Plaza for the company’s top customers. “The food, the venue — and most of all, the service — are beyond compare.”

And Rosen Plaza — which offers 60,000-square-feet of meeting space, including a 26,000-square-foot Grand Ballroom, a 12,500-square-foot Ballroom Foyer, and 22 meeting rooms — incorporates local flair into all of their events. Owned by Orlando resident and Florida’s largest independent hotelier Harris Rosen, the property is connected, through its parent company, to an array of local charities and specializes in assisting groups in identifying vetted local charities with whom to conduct corporate social responsibility activities. In fact, The Harris Rosen Foundation supports several of its own local initiatives that help send underprivileged youth to college, and the organization provided $18 million to build the Rosen College of Hospitality Management at the University of Central Florida.

For an authentic, local experience — and access to the only hotel nightclub on International Drive — Rosen Plaza is the ideal outside-the-box venue. What’s more, it’s all conveniently connected to the 2.1-million-square-foot Orange County Convention Center, which allows attendees to get from one event to the next easily.

Victoria Hall, director of sales and marketing for Rosen Plaza, says now is an ideal time to book one of the hotel’s unique event spaces. “We still have some dates and great rates available,” she says, “however the space does start to fill up as more groups look for lively, inventive venues to attract guests to their events.”
