Halfway through 2016, the demand for meeting space has reached levels “we have never seen in our lifetime,” says MGM Resorts International Senior Vice President and Chief Sales Officer Michael Dominguez, CHSE.
What’s a planner to do? One of best moves they can make, Dominguez says, is to educate their stakeholders that planning a bit farther out will help give them the most choice and flexibility.
Planners also can better navigate the space crunch by collaborating with groups that are already onsite by finding ways to share AV and exhibitor sets, he says. “That’s a big trend.”
