Our latest epanel survey indicates that we’ve reached a tipping point: More than half of meeting planners have already added or are planning to add a hybrid extension to their in-person events. Meeting planners on the virtual frontline report on the results of their initiatives.

In our Annual Meetings Industry Forecast published last month, two contributors independently pointed to hybrid events as having the greatest potential for growth in the year ahead. Meeting-planner respondents to our latest epanel survey are on the same page — 85 percent of those who added a hybrid extension said it had successfully expanded their audience. And by virtue of hosting a virtual event, two-thirds said they increased the stature of their organization in the marketplace.
